Important changes regarding the EU long-term resident card came into force in Poland on 24 June 2023. Now, in order to prove knowledge of the Polish language required to apply for an EU resident card, in addition to a state certificate of at least level B1, you can also provide a telc certificate.
What is the telc exam and why is it important?
TELC (The European Language Certificates) — is an international assessment system for 10 European languages, including Polish. The exam is developed and administered by telc GmbH, a company based in Frankfurt am Main. telc offers more than 70 different examination certificates that correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
