Your child is finishing school and you dream of him getting a higher education in Europe? Or maybe you yourself have decided to sit at a desk? Then pay attention to Polish higher education institutions.
Education in Poland meets European standards and diplomas from local universities are recognized worldwide. At the same time, the cost of education in Poland for foreigners is significantly lower than in other European countries and the USA.
Admission to Polish universities takes place twice a year. This is one of the main differences between the Polish system and higher education in Russia and Ukraine. This is a great opportunity to enroll in a university now - in winter. Applications are accepted from September 1 and last until January 31. Classes for students of the winter intake will begin in February.
The main documents required for admission:
- A certificate and its supplement, if the applicant has already graduated from school. If not, then a copy of the report card must be provided.
- To apply for a master's degree (based on a bachelor's or specialist's degree), you must provide a certificate of complete secondary education and its supplement, as well as a previously obtained diploma.
- Copies of civil and foreign passports.
- Copies of the civil and international passports of the parents, if the applicant is a minor.
- Medical certificate (remember, the certificate is valid for 3 months).
*The certificate, diploma and supplements to them, as well as the medical certificate must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator.
*Some universities may require additional documents (e.g. language certificates, presentations of work, etc.).
The language of instruction at Polish universities is mainly Polish. However, some universities have departments where lectures are given in English, Ukrainian and other foreign languages. Foreign students are required to write and speak fluently in the language of instruction. In the absence of documentary evidence of language proficiency, the educational institution reserves the right to test speaking skills with a test or interview. If your knowledge of Polish is insufficient for admission, we invite you to intensive language courses at our Litera Center. In just one month, you will master Polish to level B1, which is sufficient for admission to a university. Also, specialists from our Litera Center in Wroclaw will provide support and advice on any issues related to admission.
