Figma, typography, grids, color, UX logic, adaptability, preparation for layout, presentation of layouts, acceleration of work with neural networks.
Course program
Each module is a practical lesson: short theory, analysis of examples and work on your own project.
In the first lesson, we will analyze what a modern web designer does, what tasks they solve, and why their work is important in the digital world. Participants will get acquainted with the concepts of UI and UX, learn to distinguish good design from bad, and understand how the visual perception of a website works. We will discuss what interface formats there are: website, landing page, web application, mobile application.
In this lesson, we'll explore the basic principles of composition: modular grids, visual balance, hierarchy of elements, and patterns of perception. We'll look at how people "read" screens and how to direct their attention with design.
Participants will learn how the color wheel works, what contrast is, color temperature, and how color affects user emotions. We will talk about the psychology of color, learn how to collect color palettes and apply them in layouts.
In this lesson, we will study the anatomy of a font, the difference between typefaces, and the principles of choosing font pairs. We will analyze how to correctly build a text hierarchy, choose fonts for a project, and use them to enhance a visual message.
The lesson is dedicated to developing designer taste. We will learn how to collect moodboards and references, figure out how to analyze other people's work and use visual selections to find style and inspiration.
Participants will get acquainted with the Figma interface, learn how to work with frames, components, autolayouts and styles. We will create the first simple layout and master the basic tools needed for work.
Let's look at what adaptive design is, why it's important to start with a mobile version, and how to intelligently rebuild an interface for different devices. We'll practice using a responsive grid and constraints in Figma.
In this lesson we will focus on the logic of user interaction with the interface. We will study the concepts of user path, user flow, CJM and design of behavior scenarios on the site.
Let's talk about the difference between a prototype and a final layout. We'll learn how to create clickable prototypes in Figma and correctly present an idea to a client before the visual design stage.
Participants will get acquainted with current neural networks that help designers: Midjourney, Leonardo AI, Ideogram, ChatGPT and others. We will figure out how to use them to generate images, icons and ideas, as well as how to use AI as a process accelerator without losing the author's style.
In this lesson, we'll cover how to write UX texts, formulate buttons, labels, and interface messages. We'll also cover the basics of micro-animations and micro-interactions in design.
Participants will learn what a design system is, how to properly organize a project in Figma for handover to layout, what Dev Mode is, and how to format instructions for a layout designer. Practice of handing over a project to production.
We will figure out how to read and analyze a brief, ask the right questions, identify business goals and target audience. We will talk about transforming client wishes into visual solutions.
The lesson is dedicated to freelancing and starting a career. We will learn where to look for clients, how to correspond, how to design a portfolio and create the first case. We will analyze behavior at interviews and tips for a confident start.
Each participant prepares a full-fledged project: landing page or application interface. We conduct consultations, analyze errors, refine adaptive and interactive features, prepare a presentation.
Final session: participants present their project, receive feedback and a certificate. We also analyze career paths, prospects, specializations and make individual recommendations for development.
As a result, you will receive a finished layout for your portfolio and a certificate of completion.
