Myths about higher education in Poland

Every year young people from different countries increasingly choose Poland for higher education. Students are attracted by the decent quality of teaching and accessibility of education. In addition, the rating of local higher education institutions is higher year after year, and the quality remains high. However, enrolling and studying at Polish universities is still shrouded in fears and myths, especially among foreign students.

The top ten most popular of these are:

  • 🚩There are no good universities in Poland;
  • It is very difficult to get into a Polish university;
  • Only Polish citizens can study in Polish universities for free;
  • The high cost of studying at a Polish university;
  • In universities, lectures are given only in Polish;
  • 🚩Full-time students cannot combine study and work;
  • After graduating from a Polish university, a foreign graduate needs to obtain a work permit;
  • After studying at a Polish university, a graduate will still have to pass a Polish language proficiency test in order to obtain permanent residence in Poland;
  • You cannot become a student at a Polish university without passing the Polish language proficiency test;
  • Universities do not accept certificates from language centres such as Litera.

⛔All ten statements are NOT true

Let's try to prove it to you with an example and take the last myth.
❗Wroclaw alone has at least one FIVE of the universities that ACCEPTED certificates from Litera Development and Education Centre:

  • ✅Międzynarodowa Wyższa Szkoła Logistyki i Transportu in Wrocławiu
  • Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa we Wrocławiu
  • Wyższa Szkoła Filologiczna
  • Wrocławaska Wyższa Szkoła Informatyki Stosowanej "Horyzont"
  • Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego in Wrocławiu

Our graduates do not need to prove their language skills and take additional tests for admission to these institutions. For the admission committee, a certificate of successful completion of Litera courses is an official document confirming the applicant's knowledge.
