Poland in the red zone: new rules

The situation with the spread of the virus in Poland has worsened. The number of sick people is growing. Since 24 October, all regions of the country have been in the red zone.

Which means more restrictions and bans await us for the next 2 weeks.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that if the situation does not change, the government will take even more drastic steps: closing borders, restricting traffic or a complete lockdown.

Let's try to take precautions together to prevent the virus from spreading.

So, as of today, the following rules apply:

  • Wearing masks (or means to cover the mouth and nose) is compulsory in all public places. The fine is up to 500 PLN;
  • All sporting events will be held without spectators;
  • Pools, water parks and gyms are closing;
  • Cafes, restaurants, bars and other catering organisations are closed to the public. They will only operate for takeaway and delivery;
  • Restrictions on holding holidays: weddings, anniversaries are returned. It is forbidden to gather in a company of more than 5 people (except for family members living together);
  • Students and high school students are going back to distance learning;
  • Pupils in grades IV-VIII study remotely. In addition, children under 16 years of age must be supervised by an adult on school days (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.);
  • Older people (70+) are asked by the national government to stay at home if possible and limit visits to public places;
  • The restrictions have also affected the shops: if the area of the sales area is up to 100 square metres, then up to 5 people can be in the checkout area at the same time; if the area of the shop is more than 100 square metres - 1 person per 15 square metres; a special time is allocated for shopping for people over 60 years old.
  • Visits to theatres, cinemas and other cultural institutions are also restricted. A social distance of 1.5 metres between visitors must be maintained. In addition, the establishment must be filled only by 25% of the total number of visitors;
  • The same restrictions are imposed on public transport: a social distance of 1.5 metres and a maximum load of 25%;
  • Religious institutions have been ordered to limit attendance at services: at the rate of 1 person per 7 square metres.

In addition, clubs and discos are not open. Amusement, recreation and amusement parks are closed. Hairdressers, cosmetic and tattoo parlours are operating in sanitary mode. Saunas, solariums and massage parlours are not open.

🙏Be careful, observe safety measures and take care of yourself and your loved ones!
