TAX FREE refund — a system for refunding the amount of value added tax (VAT)

• You have 10 months from the date of purchase to claim your tax refund (some companies shorten this period)

In most cases, you will need to return to the store for a tax refund after exporting the goods and issuing a voucher at customs. However, many retail chains offer to choose any convenient for you, the company's store for a refund
• To receive the VAT amount from your purchase, you will need a passport and a voucher with a customs stamp.
• Buyers who do not plan to return to the country where the transaction was made can get a tax refund through an operator. But remember that the operator will deduct a commission for its services from the tax amount. The most popular VAT refund operator in Poland is Global Blue
• The return procedure via the Global Blue operator is similar: you need a passport, a voucher with a customs stamp. In this case, you contact the operator's office or bank - a representative of Global Blue in your country
• If necessary, you can issue a power of attorney to receive tax on a purchase within the European Union.
